1. HMC is a not for profit organisation set up to serve the Ummah and is in the process of acquiring a Registered Charity status within the coming months
2. HMC operates a criterion for Halal that is acceptable to all Muslims around the world
3. HMC has the most rigorous Halal checking system in the UK
4. HMC currently (Dec 2008) employs more than seventy people to ensure its Halal criteria and its systems are followed
5. HMC has over one hundred volunteers throughout the UK to help monitor the Halal criteria and quality systems
6. An elected National Executive Committee is responsible for the smooth running of HMC comprising of fifteen volunteers
7. HMC is the only Halal certifying body in the UK that has a continuous physical presence at abattoirs and processing plants at the time of production
8. HMC is the only Halal certifying body in the UK that monitors meat, poultry and products regularly at butchers/takeaways/restaurants
9. HMC has helped thousands of Muslims purchase/eat Halal meat and poultry with confidence over the past five years
